Enquiring minds want to know how much inter-firm competition there is in the domestic Japanese steel market. Is it as cut-throat as in the USA? For example, do Japanese steel companies compete in specific product lines like bar and rod; would this competition spillover into the USA?
Any insight into Japanese domestic business competition would be helpful. Are there ancient bad feelings between only a few firms?
