Keynes and Hayek

It is too bad that Justin Schwartz is not currentl subscribed to this list since Justin is an advocate of a "market socialism" largely on the strength of Hayek's arguments concerning the Socialist Calculation debate. Justin has even been known to go as far as to characterize himself as a "Hayekian Marxist."

BTW I am not sure that Myrdal's concern that Hayek at any rate "certainly never been much troubled by epistemological worries," was well-gounded in as much as Hayek did concern himself with the epistemology of economics. Whether or not one agrees with Hayek's position on the Socialist Calculation debate it is evident that many of Hayek's arguments were epistemological in character.
