BTW I am not sure that Myrdal's concern that Hayek at any rate "certainly never been much troubled by epistemological worries," was well-gounded in as much as Hayek did concern himself with the epistemology of economics. Whether or not one agrees with Hayek's position on the Socialist Calculation debate it is evident that many of Hayek's arguments were epistemological in character.
