Raise hell in the streets. But this will not come from the kind of progressives (marxist or non-marxist, revolutionary or reformist) who post to these lists. (Lenin's answer, about 90 years ago, to Trotsky's claim that there would be no more Father Gapons, is of interest here. Unfortunately I have misplaced that volume of L's CW.) We are, for the time being, in the grip of contingency, which must create the conditions for purposeful action.
