What hilarious bullshit. There was no "cultural transformation" in Spain, at least not in economic terms, only a statist industrialization, financed through emigrant remittances, that brought the country back, in relative terms, to the pre-WWI situation.

In fact, throughout the post-WWII period hours worked per person have decreased, people stay in school longer than ever and retire earlier, too. The only "cultural transformation" here is that Spaniards work less and spend more than ever. Not quite what this dickhead has in mind.
