I would take exception to the word "brutal" - it's ten time less than counterinsurgency campaigns in, say, El Salvador - bankrolled with the US tax dollars, and certainly not using torture as taught in the School of Amerikkkas.

The brutality of US-sponsored and bankrolled counterinsurgency campaigns is simply unsurpassed.
