Pacifica National sells its newscast and other programs to more than 60 community and college stations throughout the country. Some of these stations have already, over the years, acted in solidarity with the movement for a free and democratic Pacifica.
[In 1996-1997 several of these stations: KOOP Austin , TX, KBOO Portland, Oregon and WORT Madison Wisconsin engaed in an action of solidarity with workers to inform their listeners that Pacifica Foundation management was engaged in union busting. Please ask these stations for solidarity. Many of these stations are run by elected Boards representing the community and workers. PLease ask these stations to report on what is happening. This fight is about nothing less than the right of people for control of OUR media. Absent that, the most crucial line of defense against tyranny is demolished. That is what is at stake here. This is no "internal dispute"

1) air the live national call-in program on Pacifica which will be sent up on the National Public Radio Satellite - Wednesday, July 21 7-9 pm EST on frequency A73.1 mono
2) Cancel all broadcasts of Pacifca National Programs until:
a) KPFA is returned to the air, guards and gags removed b) Censorship of news ceases at Pacifica c) Pacifica stations are returned to their communities d) a transition to democratic governance is in progress
