A new website features photographs and stories which document the struggles of working people for justice in the United States, Mexico, the Philippines and around the world. David Bacon -- Photographs and Stories (http://www.igc.org/dbacon/) pulls together a lion's share of David's recent work, and includes material documenting:
o farm labor, conditions in the field and farmworkers' struggle for justice, in the U.S., Mexico and the Philippines o how working people survive in the global economy around the Pacific Rim o labor struggles, strikes, organizing drives and working-class movements in the U.S., Mexico, the Philippines and elsewhere o the movement to defend immigrant rights and defend affirmative action o cultural performance focusing on the intersection of art and movements for social justice
David Bacon is a photographer, writer and radio journalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and worked as a union organizer and factory worker for many years.
