The great thing about the Nazis

To whom...,

Having been so completely evil, the Nazis provide a very convenient cautionary standard. Simply put, if you find a group espousing *anything* the Nazis espoused or mimicking them in any way, you know to question its rightness immediately. Thus I expect Marxists on this mailing list will be rethinking their position on the Chinese Communist Party as they have now seen fit to throw a nationwide book-burning party against the criminal meditators of the Faloon Gong sect.

A few Faloon Gong members do a little meditating here at Seattle's Green Lake regularly. Of course they are so still you could mistake them for shrubbery and miss them altogether. I have done exactly that. They may be lunatic addicts to a terrible opiate of the masses but they certainly seem reasonably innocuous. Whatever they are, burning their little tapes and handouts is wrong by any standard. The Chinese Communist Party have once again shown they have a fundamental disrespect for human rights. Their commitment to communism is invisible. The legacy of the Red Mandarins seems almost certainly to be the grinding into the dust of disrepute the already-damaged reputation of socialism. Karl Marx deserves better. We have nothing to lose but our chains.
