Me? I'm a sucker for ANY consciousness raising alternative political campaign, from the Greens to the Libs to--yes--even the Natural Law Party, running this time around on the Anti-Genetic Engineering Platform. But it is the undeniable nature of HRC that she elides any public recognition of such a campaign. Run, yes, but no one will ever know you are out there. The media, the unions, the pro-choice brigades, the civil rights organizations won't give you a whiff of attention. This is the worst aspect of the HRC-factor, drowning a true Left resistance in the tidal wave of her own ego-construct. Look how she subverted Nita Lowie and, worse, how no one objected to the betrayal. Groom women candidates for higher office? Hmphh. Who had paid the hard dues to run for that seat? Where's the outrage at NOW HQ?

Rudy on the Judiciary Committee would indeed be a nightmare, but only 1 of 16 equally frightful varieties. --jsc
