These box full/account closed things happen all the time, but they usually bounce to me. Some idiot at UMass configured it so that the addressee's name appears in the From: field of the bounce notice instead of the postmaster's address. Apparently said idiot also thought that this header line:
>X-Ignore: uucp listserv majordomo listproc
would serve as a warning to list software to divert the message, but the list guru at Panix had never seen this before.
Damn public sector employees.
