Back in the summer and fall of 1976 a group of ten of us in Bloomington/Normal circulated a leaflet using this as its headline. It takes a long time for the news to sink in for some. We backed it up with detail on Carter as nuclear engineer and as owner of a peanut warehouse. And of course, it did encourage them, voting in '76 being part of the background for Taliban rule in Afghanistan.
