Michael Moore's TV show, a mix of stand-up with a live (American) audience, and agit-prop films, the Awful Truth was broadcast on Channel4 tonight.

The show was inspired and quite hilarious.

Moore got a man who is (was) dying for want of a Pancreas transplant to picket out Humana HMO with invitations to his own funeral. After Moore and the dying man reduced one PR man to incoherence, Humana backed down.

The only mildly irritating thing is all of the patriotic preening over here that he isn't shown over there. Certainly Moore gets a better reception from us than Christopher Hitchens gets from all you lot. -- Jim heartfield
