Just speaking for all my blue collar co-workers, I think retribution and punishment figure much more strongly in the blue collar world. One thing which sets white collar workers apart is a penchant to seek less physical and more mental solutions to what they see as bad things in the world. In a blue collar world the physical is still primary, and retribution is a valid course of action. Also, men in a blue collar world define themselves in terms of physical prowess...for that matter, physical prowess is important for women to, though to a lesser extent. maggie coleman mscoleman at aol.com
