Last night I observed that a new "personal finance" program soon to appear
in the PBS national feed is entitled "The Courage To Be Rich." So "public"
TV is willing to suggest that it has become primarily a matter of
strength-of-character! 

My own timidity is very deeply engrained but I hope that some of you
younger, still-trainable sorts will want to pour yourselves a big whiskey
and tune in.
