ps. iris marion young's _justice and the politics of difference_ draws
heavily on empirical social science in the construction of her arguments
against a distributive paradigm of justice and toward one that
understanding the essentially social constructed character of all social
goods: property, money, stauts, prestige, identity, opportunity, etc. she
weds this analysis to a 'pomo' one and attempts to construct a rationale
for identity politics *that includes* class (though i think *very
inadequately) on the basis of the work of derrida, kristeva, et al.
