Dear Miss Manners,

You're such a dear to bring to our attention the awful plight of the adjuncts and the wicked hypocrisy of the tenured faculty with regard to them. Certainly these inappropriate people who use oyster forks on their pita wraps while parading their alleged political correctness should be duly chastised with death threats and the removal of their calling cards.

Of course, in some institutions, such as the one that I am associated with, the tenured faculty have vigorously supported turning all "adjunct" positions into tenure track positions. Unfortunately we have no say over these decisions which are made by higher administrators whose attitude towards us is not always that which Miss Manners would find delightfully courteous.
