Anyone know a lot about the outsourcing of mid-level jobs in NYC? supposedly NYC companies are bringing in stenographers, plumbers etc. from Taiwan, Eastern Europe. part of the continuing lore about lack of "skills"(which seems usually to be code for lack of fabulously cheap labor to do skilled work. or lack of inclination to spend any $ training people). anyone know any experts or good studies of this phenomenon in NYC?? please advise
