When you are a German Green. Actually it perfectly reflects the Greens
social base. Today in Germany a pro-environmental position has very much to
do with personal behaviour: bringing your used papers to the recycling bin,
eating healthy food beeing willing to pay twice the price for gas and
electrical energy. For some people this should be no problem as long as the
shareholder value is going up.
When a few years ago the liberal FDP was claiming to be the party of
high-income earners, election exit-polls were showing this was only true for
the FDP-politicians, among the electorate the Greens were the party of
high-income earners.
