Just a quick note. Late for work as usual. I said I was only slightly less hostile--meaning I don't support home schooling. I think it is a bad idea. My kid went to public schools and did fine with all the usual struggles.
The tracking business is a big problem here, but that is essentially another thread.

Problem is that if you buy this type of arrangement, it's not as easy to declaim against coops of a right-wing or cultist sort.
I agree with you that more centralized revenue systems at the state level would be helpful, though there is a difficult governance/efficiency side of the issue which is usually discounted on the left.
