We might as well go all the way and say that *any* concept is impossible to define. Doesn't Derrida theorize something along these lines? Words are only defined by reference to other words.

My point is this: you recognize irony when you see it (right???). I mean, nobody is going to interpret A Modest Proposal as meaning that the Irish really should've eaten their kids. And nobody is going to doubt that Malthus' Essay really is an argument for population control.
