And *what* was the John Glenn thing? It was hideous. Between Glenn and Powell and Gwyneth Paltrow the Kazan thing didn't seem as awful as it might have done. Maybe that's why.

It was less embarrassing when they were just giving awards to people like K Costner and M Gibson.
