Is it so hard to understand that the rejection of self-critique is in the interests of *requiring response* to critique -- and trying to understand criticism when offered by others? That Yoshie's point ( which is in fact more or less standard in the Leninist tradition) is that self-critique is inherently dishonest and usually intended to preclude rather than invite critique. This may be correct or incorrect, but most responses to her post have interpreted her as precluding self-criticism altogether.
