Penn downgrade

I read the Penn story from another angle. Teaching hospitals are in trouble as HMO power grows.

Already, a number of universities have radically restructured their teaching hospitals. I discuss a bit of this in my Class Warfare book. The danger is that the teaching hospitals do not merely give health care, but they are important for medical education and innovation.

The bond market doesn't give a damn.
