A good question, especially considering the fact that the following Republican presidential candidates have gone on record as opposing "the use of US military force against Yugoslavia to secure some form of autonomy for Kosovo" (source:Human Events, April 30, 1999, p.3)

Gary Bauer Pat Buchanan Alan Keyes Dan Quayle Bob Smith

Except for Quayle, the other 4 also opined in response to the same questionnaire that Clinton does not have "constitutional authority to prosecute a protracted war whether on the air or on the ground against Yugoslavia without authorization from Congress." John Kasich was not completely forthright but was negative toward the war overall. Lamar Alexander and the more likely candidates George W Bush, Elizabeth Dole, Steve Forbes, and John McCain either did not respond, waffled or favored the use of force, but there does seem to be more uneasiness with the war in Republican ranks than among the Democrats.
