Globalization

Last night I attended a dinner meeting of the Association of Iron and
Steel Engineers.  The union picked up the tab for me to go and break
bread with this august group.  My job was to pay special attention to
the speech by the after dinner speaker a top ranking steel industry
executive in the Cleveland area.

The meal was excellent and the after dinner speech was honest.  The
topic of the speech was "The Global Challenge and Re-Inventing the
Company".  My take on the talk was that it could be summed up as, we
re-invented the company and got globalized anyway.
