Gun control & U.S. Constitution

Naturally the original draft + amendments would *have*
to have the right to keep and bear arms.  What good is
an acknowledged right to own slaves if you can't shoot
'em when they get unruly?  In the days of horseback it
would take quite a while for the forces of law 'n'
order to get out to the ol' plantation and restore
order.  Better to maintain domestic firepower.
