What should the role of government be, under socialism?

- Safeguard the common wealth (military defence,
environmental defence, intellectual-property defence,
etc.)

- Codify laws 

- Maintain the court of final jurisdiction

- Create and/or maintain public infrastructure (roads,
rivers, railways, airports, bridges, comm backbones,
etc.)

- ????
