What does Dianne Feinstein think she will accomplish by
carrying a gun?
She says it's because her husband got a death threat a few years ago.
Does she really believe that criminal circumstance will
facilitate a neat little confrontation in which her antagonist
will either run away, surrender, or fall down in terror?
What's weird is that, being a Senator, she gets armed protection.
Whatever she thinks, I think it's fair to say that she believes strongly in the right of self-defense. At least if you're rich like she is. It should be pointed out that her home town, San Francisco, where is, by California law, the juristiction where she would have to get a CCW permit, is one of the tightest cities in the US west about guns. They were pretty close a few years ago to banning all handguns (like NYC and Washington DC) and they have a law that requires dealers to write down a drivers license number for each ammo purchase.
Rosie O'Donnell's recent pillow fight with Tom Selleck about
his cold-dead-fingers affiliation with the National Rifle
Association doesn't exactly gain credibility in the context of
her cuddly endorsement contract with K-Mart which cheerfully
and (I assume) profitably peddles firearms in its Sporting
Goods department.
She recently got them to stop selling handguns, but they still sell long guns. It's kind of a big flap in the RKBA crowd ...

It's interesting to see that the 2nd is getting a lot more attention these days, perhaps not in the way HCI wants it to.
