Another good way to deal with this is to turn on cookies but make
your cookie file read-only; that way your surfing won't be interrupted
by asking to to save (and then denying) the cookie, but each time
you go you'll get a new one (presuming you exit your browser often
-- which, due to the "quality" of most browsers, gets taken care of
for you).
If you really want a cookie, exit your browser, make the file
read-write, go directly to the site, get your cookie, exit your
browser, clean up any crap you might have gotten from ad banner
things, and make it read-only again.
