I'm not sure if they're married but Sen and Nussbaum have been partners for a long time. Nussbaum is a great philosopher and classical scholar. Check out her book on Aristotle and Plato *The Fragility of Goodness.* She is well known (or notorious) in philosophy for defending literature as a means to moral education and moral/political theorizing. She was hired by the U of Chicago Law school as an antidote to Posner and the Law&Economics people. Her overtly political stuff is very abstract, centering around the Aristotlean conception of practical reasoning.
