that you can't be bothered to argue any of the points onlyl reveals to me
just how lightly you take this issue.  had someone noted that the media
only ever portrays relations between people of the same race and when it
portrays them otherwise they're seriously problematic, no one on this list
would have objected with "oh but what about this film or that film"  y'all
would have been silent or supportive and jumped right on the wagon in order
to display your solidarity with anti racist arguments.  but, because this
is about gender and sexism, it's apparently a-okay to dismiss the arguments
with a paternalistic reference to some classic movie thereby displaying
your authority as an older man with oh so much more knowledge.

so, hey, whatever.,  at least brett has the balls to want to learn more and
engage in an argument.  for that i respect him.  your crappy little remark
was completely uncalled for.
