Yeah. God knows we've got to take Lacan at his word. And if he denies something, it's *not* ironic, and it's can't possibly be self-contradictory or--heaven forbid!--self -serving. After all he's, well, the one supposed to know, right? Or is that what he denies being? Can't keep track. Oh, just take my word for it, he's right, all the time!
