Charles:

Joseph: Most definitely. But I do too -- Reno belongs in prison for that, if no other reason.

Charles: What's so special about Waco ? The day to day operation of police agents from feds to the city departments suppresses individual freedom en masse. Is there a member of the executive branch anywhere in the country, from city to state to feds, that shouldn't be in prison by this ?

And , oh by the way, who is going to be running this prison ? Shouldn't they automatically put themselves in prison for running a prison, one of the quintessential repressive apparatuses of the state ?

Yes. They have no position, they're liberarians. They don't care who you (consenually) fuck, what you smoke, or if you have an abortion. Some individuals may favor 'traditional' values, but they would not cram them down the throats of others as would, say, Gary Bauer.

(((((((((((((

Charles: Here we have the Libertarian Party running for office. Seems fundamentally contradictory for a Libertarian to seek government office. Then they call up on a talk radio show regularly supporting the rightwing positions of Republicans. So, it is not unusual for Libertarians to be pretty self-contradictory. I wonder if CATO is really that self-consistent .

Seems to me Libertarians are reactionary utopians, and when they participate in the real world they contradict themselves all over the place.
