internet stalking

sorry to bug the list with a question like this but it is the largest resource i know of and a resource that, in some limited way, knows me.

some of you may know that i have been stalked on the internet. he has harassed two other members of the list as well, though he's taken a particular dislike to me for whatever reason. his name is robert chavez and he lives in new mexico from what we know of him from bad subjects. he was expelled from the list --his xcruz at webtv account that is--but he continues to resub under throw away accounts like yahoo and hotmail and, when the mood strikes him, he likes to type posts to the bad subjects list addressing me as, among other things, kelley kunt. he then indicates that he's paying attention to every last word i type and, more recently, that he's doing internet searches to dig up what little info he can find about me. [hence my weird email addys and changes in addy and why i even pay for an accout to begin with b/c otherwise i have free access to a uni account! ] .

his latest schtick has been to post to bad subjects as pulpculture99 at yahoo.com so he can clearly indicate that he knows about the new list. he also forwarded something i'd posted on pulpculture to indicate that he has access to pulp culture either because he has subbed under a new account or he's having a friend fwd him the posts.

i started the other list, pulp culture, with ken and kirsten for many reasons, but one of them was that i was hoping to have some place available to me that was free from chavez's harassment. hah. i guess i was wrong about the persistence and unrepentent freakishness of this creep. it appears that he is now subbed under a pay for account that he's acquired or, possibly, he's having someone fwd messages from pulp culture who subbed to our list now.

my reason for writing is that i'm pissed and i want to take action against this creep. i have no idea how to go about such a thing. the yahoo privacy policy states that they will release info about people who misuse their services, but... does anyone know if this is actually something that does happen or must the case be an unusual one. i cannot afford an attorney that much is clear, but is there anyone out there who knows i how can fight this on my own or of an organization that can help in any way. the problem, of course, is that the harassment/stalking isn't violent enough for anyone to get knotted up over except for me and the fact that i am tired of not being able to go out for a walk everyday [post on a list] only to return to my house [mailbox] to find creepy notes posted to my door.

acchhh geez. i have no idea how to formulate my questions. this is so weird. i n any event, if anyone has any ideas, any contacts, knows anyone who's been through this crap, or whatever please post me.
