Deeds? The effect always outdoes the cause, because there is a surplus - otherwise overturning capitalism would be structurally impossible. And the excess is nothing else other than the "obscene object of enjoyment."

Can racism, as a term, be used in the plural without an s? Religion is used like this all the time... "Centre for the Study of Religion" (although some pranksters once painted on an s once).

Changing the way with think changes our reality. If you think the earth is flat, or you think that there is a chair in the room, you will act as though the earth is flat, or the chair in the room (I could use religious examples... saints and martyrs...).
