Good heavens yes, I get my villainous chemical companies mixed up, it was Dow and napalm, which is closer to the deep evil of I. G. Farben and Zyklon-B than the simple stupid technical f***-up of Union Carbide at Bhopal. How embarrassing. Come to think of it, maybe Union Carbide mgmt. and their reckless like deserves a less-than-capital sentence, not because two thousand dead due to blatant negligence is not a high crime, but because there ought to be a certain distinction, a unique manner, how a just government punishes the very worst of criminals: cold-blooded, deliberate, premeditated murderers.
