I certainly share your concerns in being suspicious of would-be revolutionary activity that puts all its focus on cultivating an elite vanguard. This top-down approach is self-defeating and merely subsitutes one oligarchy for another. What is needed is to cultivate a pervasive change of consciousness that can foster a sustainable bottom-up transformation of society.
