To be fair, his little sectarian rag is far more entertaining than most, since it jags from hysterical conspiracy theories about the British drug-running cartels to populist denunciations of derivatives to scholarly analyses of a whole range of topics. LaRouche is insane but he has an entertainingly creative mind, with occasional bursts of useful facts and analysis.
After spending much of the 80s in the conservative camp because of his obsession with Star Wars, he has veered back to the "left" in recent years, denouncing austerity economics and calling for giant public works projects and - in a domestic version of his Star Wars obsession - massive investment in fusion power. He wants controls of the financial speculators and a restoration of democratic control over the money supply - shades of William Jennings Bryan.
You might also ask him what he thinks of his old comrades Newman and Fulani crawling into bed with Buchanan inside the Reform Party.
If you haven't read the book on LaRouche (by Dennis Ross?), you should skim it just to get a little more handle on his history to get maximum fun out of the interview.
