I haven't read Faludi's book and I'm unlikely to do so, but I saw
her on Chris Mathews' (think that is his name) misnamed show *Hard
Ball* (CNBC? MSNBC?) a few nights ago. I came away with this
bit of pop-psychobabble: male boomer (what a hideous term), by
which she appears to mean white middle-strata, support for current
imperialist military adventures/wars/interventions is attempt to
reconnect with their fathers and/or overcome their feminized lives.
Yuck! Michael Hoover
