<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML> Predictably, El Cenizo's decision to conduct its business in Spanish got right up the noses of USAUSAUSA woofers.  The story below, from the Albuquerque Journal, describes that city's reaction to the broadcast there a segment of the "Don & Mike" show from Baltimore in which those two pseudo-Horowitzes apparently thought it would be funny to harass El Cenizo employees for not being good Americans. Hillary Durgin's story for the FT seems to have been. . . erm. . . inspired by an AP story filed on August 20 by Madeline Baro Díaz, but you'd think she or he would have read it carefully enough to understand that all those militarized cops down there work for the Border Patrol (not Border Control) and that it's the Justice Department's Immigration & Naturalization Service that runs it, not any of Dubya's galoots.  Yet, that is. <<More than 50 people protested outside the Citadel Communications offices Thursday afternoon, angered by a segment of the "Don and Mike Show" in which the hosts mocked a Texas town that has adopted Spanish as its official language.   <<As part of the protest, demonstrators broadcast portions of the 12-minute segment on a loudspeaker. At one point in the segment, which aired Aug. 17, one of the hosts tells a female employee of the town of El Cenizo, Texas: "Those (people) who do not want to speak English or cannot speak it should get on their burros and go back to Mexico.
