<P><FONT SIZE=2>Gallup's respondents seem a lot more plugged-in than Harris's (note Aug. 4 posting below). Maybe it's just that a good number of Americans spent summer vacation catching up on their Fed watching.</FONT></P>

<BR><FONT SIZE=2>the Fed Chairman. However, they *can* identify the other guy who</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>controls their lives. Fully 63% know that Bill Gates is CEO of</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>Microsoft.</FONT>
