<br>More than 46 percent of Mexican workers make less than 64 pesos per
day,
<br>about 6 dollars, according to the recent National Urban Employment
Survey of
<br>the National Statistical Institute (INEGI).
<p>The survey of employment and wages in the large cities indicates that

<br>percent of the [economically] active urban population earns less than
one
<br>minimum wage, 32 pesos that is to say - about 3 dollars - and 34 percent
<br>only earn [the equivalent of] up to two minimum wages - some 6 dollars
<br>daily.
<p>Furthermore, almost half of the employed (47.2%) do not receive benefits,
<br>according to the INEGI report.
