The patient had damned well better twist his/her arm, and the doctor damned well better do better than this or one of these days the patient will find she can't lift her arm more than a few inches from her side. Check with a good neurosurgeon. She will give you two simple exercises that in about two weeks will eliminate the pain and let you scrub your back when you take a shower.
