How'd market analysis get set up as the ideal here? Most of it is awful too.
I've long wanted to do a critique of the community organizing model, which would mean studying Alinsky. I've made a start several times and gave up after trying to read a few pages of his stuff. That doesn't mean I want to read the latest Fama/French paper instead.
