CBO worries on debt

I haven't seen it yet. I'm too busy reforming the tax system. I plan/hope to write a budget piece for February.

I no longer trust budget projection studies from CBO. They have been doctoring these things for a couple of years now. Until I can reverse engineer the numbers, I can't say any more.

Hey Max, what's with this CBO report I just opened - it's dated October, but I'm way behind - arguing that federal spending is going to zoom in the long term, and unless we 'save' the surplus over the next couple of decades, debt will start spinning out of control around 2020 (debt/GDP breaking 100%, twice the 1990s average, in 2030, pushing 200% in 2040....?
