Pinker is not widely accepted. And I believe neuro-science
is beginning to dissolve the grounds for Chomsky's theory.
Chomsky does repeat the error of Descartes by separating
the brain from the body. (Descartes separated mind from
brain: the separation of brain and body is the 20th century
equivalent.)
Probably some of Chomsky's work will prove to be of
permanent value, but he has not proven a damn thing.
