I'd say it is quite possible AG will lower rates. It would be his way of welcoming G. Bush to the WH and starting off their relationship on a positive note.

I see the Novak article accusing Greenspan of being a Clinton conspirator as a threat to Greenspan to lower interest rates in order to make George II look good in time for his coronation. And it looks to me like Greenspan got the message by indicating he will lower interest rates.
Do you really think AG will lower interest rates? If so, what effect will that have on the economy? Cause inflation? Devaluation of the dollar again? Something else?
