Well, nuclear power and weapons are old. I meant today. Also, it doesn't really depend on quantum theory. Radioactive decay way known well before quantum. Once it was known that the stuff decays, the bomb was practically inevitable and would have been built even without quantum, although probably more crudely. --jks
