I read that General Electric is refusing to pay for the
clean up of the PCB's that it dumped into the Hudson
River---estimated cost to GE for cleaning up its mess $430
million dollars.
That's not exactly how I read it.
They aren't saying that they won't pay to clean it up; they are saying that they think the way the EPA wants to clean it up is not a good way to do it. It's not at all clear from any of the coverage I've read whether either side sounds credible in their claims.
