Greetings All.
It looked like our side was going to just keep on moving ahead in the poll, but now the FBI forces have been getting out the word to their supporters and the gap is getting smaller. Right now the vote is: Yes (in support of Leonard Peltier) 15.473, 52%, No (in support of the FBI) 14,271, 48%.
As you can tell many Peltier supporters have been working hard on this, but now it looks like the FBI maybe out organizing us. Do we really want the FBI to have this victory? I think not. Please if you have not voted, please voote. Also, please pass this message on to every list and possible people who would support the Yes vote that you know of.
The time is now! We don't want the FBI to be able to say they have the support of the people. Thank you.

PLEASE POST WIDELY
Standing up to the FBI! Greetings All,
The FBI has been a political repressive police force since its founding. There have been few movements, civil rights, labor, environmental, wobblies, Earth First!, anarchists, liberals to radicals that have not at some time been a victim of the FBI's repressive actions. In the case of Leonard Peltier the FBI has come out into the public with a public campaign. The most out front part of that being when 800 FBI agents and supporters marched on the White House. Now they have made a mistake. They have organized their supporters to vote in a public poll (http:// www.vote.com)
How do we know this?
First, the statement against Leonard is the FBI story that includes lies that have been proven in court to be lies. The story about the gun they say was Leonard's and the direct evidence of that gun to the deaths of the agents was proved to be fabricated evidence in Leonard's second federal appeal, and it was done so by a FBI report gained through the FOIA.
Next, in the "discussion" section you will you will find many comments from the No Parole Peltier Association, which is an organization created by FBI agents and their supporters. A few days ago Leonard supporters foundout about the poll and at that time the FBI was winning. Since that time things have changed. As of this morning the vote is Yes (in support of Leonard) 14,015, 55%; No (in support of the FBI) 11,623, 45%.
For everyone who has ever wanted to standup and be counted against political repression, for everyone who has been angered by the FBI's past and present role in political repression and everyone who supports justice for Leonard Peltier, the chance has opened up to all of you to make a statement by voting in this poll (http://www.vote.com). The FBI's side has increased their people voting in the poll, but at this time our side is out organizing them. Please help us, Leonard and yourself by voting now and passing this information on to as many lists and people as possible.

Subject: Peltier Poll on vote.com
Dear friends,
The website http://www.vote.com has a poll up with the question "Should
President
Clinton Pardon Leonard Peltier, Who Was Convicted Of Killing Two FBI
Agents?"
The current total is about 6,500 votes no and 350 votes yes. Clearly the
FBI
found out about the poll before we did, but we can fix that!
For each person that votes, "vote.com" sends an email to President
Clinton,
telling him how he/she voted.
[Vote.com was created by Dick Morris (who was President Clinton's chief
strategist and advisor in the 1996 campaign. He's now a commentator on
the
Fox News Channel and writes a weekly column in the New York Post) and
Eileen
McGann is an attorney and former public interest lobbyist.]
We are asking all Peltier supporters to go to this website an vote in support for Clemency for Leonard Peltier.
In solidarity,
--- LPDC
